The title refers to the official Google Help Center guide: Share your AI-powered responses from Google Search. How to Share Your AI-Powered Responses from Google Search
Google Search allows you to easily share generative AI responses—including AI Overviews and interactive AI Mode conversations—with friends, colleagues, or social media networks. By generating a custom shared link, you can pass along comprehensive summaries and even let others continue the AI conversation from where you left off. Prerequisite Settings
Before you can generate and share links, you must ensure specific account settings are active.
Turn on History: You must enable history and personalized recommendations in your account settings.
Account Type: You must use a personal Google Account. Workspace accounts (like school or business accounts) do not support this feature yet. Step-by-Step Sharing Instructions On Desktop (Computer)
Locate the content: Navigate to Google Search for AI Overviews, or go directly to Google AI Mode.
Click Share: Find the Share button located at the bottom of the AI response.
Choose your platform: Click a direct social media icon to post, or click Copy Link to save the URL to your clipboard.
Paste anywhere: Share the copied link in emails, messaging apps, or online forums. On Mobile (Android & iOS)
Open the app: Launch the Google App or open Google Search in your mobile browser.
Tap Share: Look for the Share icon at the very bottom of the AI response block.
Send the link: Select a social platform from the menu, or copy the link to paste it manually into a text thread. What Happens When You Share?
The behavior of the shared link depends entirely on the type of AI response you are sending:
Sharing an AI Overview: Recipients who click your link will be directed straight into AI Mode. From there, they can read your result and immediately type their own follow-up questions.
Sharing AI Mode Conversations: If your chat features multiple questions and answers, the entire text thread up to that point is shared.
Privacy Controls: Any new follow-up questions you ask after generating the link will remain strictly private and will not update on the recipient’s view. Managing and Deleting Shared Links
If you change your mind, you can revoke access to your shared search content at any time. Go to AI Mode on your computer. Click on AI Mode history on the left-side menu. Select Manage public links.
Click Delete next to the specific link you want to remove, or choose Delete all links.
Once deleted, the shared page will become inaccessible to anyone using the link within a few minutes. If you would like, let me know: I can tailor the next guide to match what you need! AI responses may include mistakes. Learn more
