Microsoft InkSeine is a 2007–2008 Microsoft Research prototype that introduced groundbreaking, pen-centric features like “in situ” search and persistent, draggable search objects, designed to keep users in a distraction-free flow state. While serving as a fascinating historical experiment in user interface design, the application is not recommended for daily productivity due to its abandonment, missing modern features like scrolling, and lack of cloud syncing.
